Den Helder,3 en 4 October 2009
Hardly recovered from my trip from the States I went to Den Helder, where I was invited for a tournament. Good intention of Lars Meijer of Rising Star. There were many talented players who competed to be ranked for the Sunday event.
Also our new World Cup heroes were invited. Two of them where in my poule. I played again Frans Harmsen (4-1) and Willy van de Wiel (4-3). My first match on Sunday was against Tony West (4-1). The organization was perfect, with delicious food and drinks an a nice room in the Hotel. I would like to thank the owner Remco Dijkstra and all the sponsors who made this event happen. It was an unforgettable experience to be picked up from the train station with a limousine! Awsome!
Till next time again. This weekend we go to Veldhoven to play Tops of Holland.
21 t/m 29 September 2009 WK USA
Charlotte (NC) North Carolina, The Blake Hotel, where we also played the World Cup. Very nice people, very helpful and a fine room. Also the venue where we played was oké. Unfortunately for the ladies team was the tournament a little disappointment. Overall Karin Krappen and I ended up 10th on the list. That was a pitty, because there was absolutely more potential. The result of the Dutch men was better. They were the best overall and in the team event. Joey even got the silver medal for his performance in the singles. Unfortunately there was not much attention from the media. Although it was a historical moment for the Dutch Team. There name will be placed on that huge World Cup Trophy. We are very proud of our men: Joey ten Berge, Willy van de Wiel, Daniel Brouwer, Frans Harmsen.
Hoenselaar gets invitation of Grand Slam of Darts.
June the 12th I was called by Dave Allen from the PDC. Het had fantastic news: they wanted to invite me for the Grand Slam of Darts. Is is great that they give a ticket to the Lakeside Champion. Also Anastasia Dobromyslova will play, it will be her second performance at GSoD. Two other Dutch are Raymond van Barneveld and Co Stompé. This event will be live on television, broadcast by ITV and Sport 1. When you are interested in shirt sponsoring, please contact my manager Gerry Walters.

Good news
Ascension Day may 21st, as long as I can remember we play the Closed Dutch Championship. This year in Nieuwegein, in a venue named "de Blokhoeve". The attendance was better than the last two ranking tournaments. I played this tournament for the 20th time, and I started very well. I reached the final without to much trouble. My opponent was Ranking champion Carla Molema. With a narrow victory (4-3) I became Dutch Champion for the 16th time.
3 days later I played Open Antwerp. This tournament is part of the International Darts Tour of the Lowlands (IDTL). I started tremendously with beautiful finishes and good scores. My first leg I finished in 11 darts (180 , 140 , 97 , Triple 20 dubbel 12) But when I reached the last 16 it was all over. I couldn't find the trebbles and doubles anymore. Daisy van Driel played a steady game and beated me with 4 -1.
Some other good news is that I will play the World Champions. Also Willy van de Wiel and Joey ten Berge have been selected. Tuesday June 9th we will know which other lady and two other men will join us to the USA.
This weekend 29 t/m 31 of may we will be in Hoensbroek / Heerlen for one of the pleasantly tournaments: Parkstad Open.
Enjoy Pentecost and Whitsun!

All about darts
Scottish open single jnt 9th - Pair -Hoens/ Irina Armstrong 1st
Leek 6th NDB - jnt 2nd
Isle of Man jnt 9th
Delft 7th NDB - jnt 2nd
German open jnt 9th - Pair -Hoens/ Trina Gulliver 1st
Eindhoven 8th NDB - winner
Looking back to the last months I think I can be really confident.
I played very well in Scottland and Germany, although Karen Lawman knew how to beat me. To make it up a bit I won both pairs disciplines.
At the NDB-ranking it went exhausting. I had some luck now and then but I also didn't take my chances. In Eindhoven I finally played well and I constantly played the level I use to play.
Open Holland was very disappointed. In all disciplines: mixed pairs, pairs and single. For my partners Cor Ernst and Karin ten Kate I found this very annoying. But whatever I tried, I couldn't get in the game.
The first coming tournament is Closed Dutch Champion Ship at May 21st in Nieuwegein. The last NDB tournament for this season.
At the end I would like to thank the ladie of the superleague team 'de Salamander' for introducing me in their team. Really great!
I feel confidence for next season.
Enjoy summer! Best regards and a big hug,
"Dutch Crown".
31st Dutch Open
Wednesday the 4th of February we travelled to Veldhoven to play the Dutch Open in the Koningshof. Thursday at exactly 2 o'clock pm the pairs tournament started. I paired with Trina Gulliver and we reached the final, which we had to play on the Sunday.
Friday I had to play the single tournament. I reached the semi finals, also played on the Sunday. Which ment a day off on the Saturday.
Before the semi finals were played on Sunday, there was a
presentation. The youth and I were honoured for our performances, with a beautiful photo collage, placard, flowers and a lot of laudative words.
After that I played the semi final against Julie Gore. From the first throw on I didn't play well and had no chance to win. Julie won with 2-4. Luckily the pairs final went much better and Trina and I won this tournament for the 8th time. (Robbins/Gore 1 – 5 Gulliver /Hoenselaar)
I would like to thank everyone for all the presents, postcards, text messages etc in the past weeks. Really tremendous how many people had compassion and found that it was about time that Lakeside should be written on my list of honour as well. It was overwelming. Thank you all very very much, it was really fantastic!
Big hugs of "Dutch Crown".
Francis wint Lakeside 2009!!
Frimley Green, January 9th 2009.
Tonight Francis played the Lakeside final for the 6th time. Her opponent: Trina Gulliver. There was 1 big difference... this time the trophy goes to Rotterdam! A dream came true.
Trina missed double tops to take advantage in the opening leg. All 5 legs were needed to win that set.
The second set was less well-of. Trina throwed very well, while Francis couldn't find the tripple bed. Trina won this set with 3-0.
But luckely the next set was totally different. Francis throwed very well. She won the set with 3-0, which gave her the trophy and the titel World Champion!
Francis wins 1 round Lakeside world championship
Frimley Green, January 8th 2009
Reigning World Master Francis Hoenselaar coasted into the final of the women’s championship winning an all-Dutch affair with Rilana Erades in 22 minutes.
It was a cool and confident performance from Hoenselaar, the second seed, who was never really troubled as she battled through to her sixth final.
It was nervous start for both players, Hoenselaar taking the opening leg with the throw with her fourth dart on double 10, Erades levelling on the same double. The experienced Hoenselaar finished in an impressive 13 darts. She took the set 3-1.
Stamping her authority on the match, Hoenselaar blasted out a maximum in the opening leg of the second set only to see Erades level after surviving a spell of double trouble. A further 180 from the Hoenselaar steered her to the third on double tops, nervously requiring nine darts to achieve her match-winning double. Hoenselaar’s victory sets up an intriguing sixth clash between the Dutch player, her doubles partner and great rival, Trina Gulliver - the seven times winner of the world title.
Crowned World Master in December, Hoenselaar is now looking for a unique double, only achieved before by her by Gulliver, to win hold both the Masters and Lakeside world titles.

Francis wins 1 round Lakeside world championship
Frimley Green, January 4th 2009
Francis remained on course to achieve her darting dream, dismissing Dutch team mate Carla Molema 2-0.
Francis missed double tops for a 107 finish in the fourth leg, but her power-scoring gave her a significant lead, enabling her to take a 1-0 match lead with her fourth double attempt.
She launched the second set with a faultless 114 checkout completed on her favourite double 20, Molema holding her throw to finish on double tops.
Next Thursday she will play the semi final. Another all-Dutch affair, against Rilana Erades.

Saturdag 8 november Newry Ierland.
Friday we left Holland with EasyJet to play the 6th Northern Ireland Open in Newry. We had a beautiful dignified hotel named Canal Court Hotel and it was located right opposit the venue where we had to play, in Bellini's.
Saturday we had to play the single tournament and as for the organization it was a bit of a mess. We should start at 14.00 hours, but than the organization changed the starting time to an hour earlier. Luckely Karin ten Kate and I are always early so we can warm up.
The position of the dart lanes was no good. I had to throw in a corner on lane 2, where it was very busy, because 4 lanes ended there. I had to ask all the time te get some space to throw my darts. And the way to get there, was not comfortable too. Karin had to play on lane 8, next to a pillar and with a curtain flying all the time. Not the best cirmunstances too. But oké...Let's play darts and I throwed them easely and with no problems I walked over the first three rounds to play the last 8. There was a heavy apponend: Julie Gore. It was a shimmering game, you couldn't see a winner. But at the end we shaked hands with a 3-2 result in my advantage.
I had to play a Scottish lady called Lynn Cowan in the semi finals. And the darts kept on landing in the tripple bed as I wanted them so I won this game with 2-4.
In the final I had to play Trina. We both had a weak start and I came 2-0 behind, but than I started to throw harder and that was a good choise, I came back to 2-2. And also the next legs were in my advantage. In the end I won the game with 5-2 and had trown 3 OneHundredAndEighties!
On Sunday we played the doubles and for this opportunity I paired up with Angela de Ward. With not much trouble we won suuprisingly!
It was a very succesful weekend!

Sunday October 26, Open Noord Nederland
The 2nd ranking tournament of the NDB. 78 Ladies entered. After a bad first round in which I hardly scored, it went much better in the other games. In the last 32 I defaeted Ilona van Emden with 3-0. Last 16 I had to play the very talented lady player Sanne Schelvis. I won the match with 1-3. Than the last 8 I had to play the Champ of the Lorna Croft Cup Tamara Schuur. And the darts kept on landing in the tripple bed as I wanted them so I won this game with 1-3. The feeling was good to play the semi final, which I played against Karin ten Kate. I started tremendously with a 180 and finished the leg in 12 darts with a 155 checkout. Karin played very well but could not take more than one leg, and so I ended up in the final. My oponent was Carla Molema. I was lucky in the first two legs, because Carla couldn't find the doubles. The darts were still with me and I finished the 2nd leg with a 130 finish, which brought me 2 legs ahead. I won this final with 4-0.
On our way back to Rotterdam the three of us (me, Hans and Karin) treated ourselves
to a good meal and a glass of wine to celebrate our performance.
